Indian govt official directed Sikh separatist's assassination plot in US

The indictment, unsealed on Wednesday, alleges that Nikhil Gupta, 52, conspired with an Indian government official to kill the unnamed separatist leader, who is a vocal critic of the Indian government and advocates for the secession of India's Punjab state.
